Keir Starmer has appeared at the opening of the international Organised Immigration Crime summit alongside Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.
The Prime Minister outlined his approach to illegal immigration, announcing new measures to tackle the Channel crossing crisis.
“We need to treat people smuggling as a global security threat, similar, if you like, to terrorism. We’ve got to bring all the powers we have at our disposal,” Starmer said.
