A vile stalker who was booted off Lord Howe Island after terrorising his girlfriend is now living in a huge four-bedroom home with stunning ocean views on the mainland.
Jai Shick, 44, faced Port Macquarie Local Court earlier this month and was sentenced for choking, assault, and stalking and intimidating his partner.
Magistrate Georgina Darcy ordered Shick serve his two-year Community Correction Order near Port Macquarie on the mid-NSW coast rather than his home on Lord Howe Island because that would be too ‘lenient’.
Shick was then bailed to live with a friend at Dunbogan, 35km south of Port Macquarie.
He is now residing in a modern four-bedroom home that boasts stunning water views.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Shick, who was born on Lord Howe Island, worked as a local field officer.
It was initially proposed that he live under virtual house arrest at his mother’s house on the island, but that was rejected by Ms Darcy.
The court was told between the evening of April 15, 2022, and the early hours of the next day, Shick tracked down his now-former partner, adamant she was cheating on him.
He pulled her hair and shouted ‘is that what you get the other guys to do, do you like it?’
He then snatched the woman’s phone to look through her messages and calls and pushed her as she stood tangled in her sleeping bag.
The woman got to her feet and ran, but he proceeded to tackle her, put his hand around her throat and used his forearm to apply further force.
‘I’m going to f**king kill you, c**t,’ Shick said, according to court documents.

The woman ultimately went home with Shick the night she was choked, fearing he would continue to hurt her if she didn’t go with him, police state.
She confided to three friends about the domestic violence incident and went to the doctor, who took photos of bruising and noted her voice was hoarse.
At the time of the violent attack, the woman did not go to the sole police officer on the island because she did ‘not feel comfortable with him at the time’, according to court documents.
The victim reported the offending a year later in October 2023 and Shick was arrested on December 12.
Shick eventually pleaded guilty and avoided a costly trial, which would have involved witnesses being flown to Port Macquarie from Lord Howe Island, about 600km off the NSW coast.
Shick’s victim bravely told the court she used to be a free-spirited, hard-working woman prior to the incident.

‘The vision of his face in front of me and his hands over my neck – I relive the worst night of my life over and over again,’ she said.
‘I never knew the depths of the effects that I would carry, for the rest of my life,’ she said.
The court heard the woman sought mental health help, at great expense, to help her deal with the trauma.
‘Every day is a battle to maintain my composure.’
Ms Darcy commended the woman for her bravely facing her abuser in court.
She said that ‘time and time again’ she saw men facing the court for offending motivated by jealousy.
‘You continued to believe the victim was unfaithful – there is no evidence before the court that she was – but that is irrelevant,’ Ms Darcy said.
‘People have a choice as to what they do with their own lives.’
Schick’s lawyer argued the sentence was too severe and has lodged an appeal.
