Britain’s Leon Edwards will fight Australia’s Jack Della Maddalena in the main event at UFC London on 22 March.
Edwards, 33, will be competing for the first time since losing his welterweight belt to American Belal Muhammad in Manchester in July 2024.
Della Maddalena, 28, is fourth in the UFC welterweight rankings having won his first seven fights in the promotion.
He last fought in March last year, stopping Brazil’s Gilbert Burns in the third round of an impressive performance.
A victory for either athlete would put them in pole position to challenge the winner of the title bout between Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov, which is set to take place at an unconfirmed date later this year.
The contest between Edwards and Della Maddalena joins a handful of contests already confirmed for the card at the O2 Arena, including Britain’s Molly McCann against Brazilian strawweight Istela Nunes.
British heavyweight Mick Parkin takes on Poland’s Marcin Tybura, and Ireland’s Shauna Bannon faces India’s Puja Tomar at strawweight.
