Many people get excited about spotting celebrities out in public and are usually eager to catch a glimpse, or better yet snap a cheeky photo as they go about their day.
But for all that instant recognition, there was once a time when said celebrities looked rather different to how they appear today – as our four chosen stars illustrate in a series of teenage snaps.

Next up is the grin of a child who looks proud to be representing their school, as they can be seen in a photo from Hoylake Church of England Primary School in 1979.
The individual concerned also has the type of blonde pudding bowl haircut that will serve as a horrible reminder to many Brits of the shocking hairstyles they were burdened with by their parents as youngsters.
