Timothée Chalamet was the spitting image of a rock star as he arrived at the premiere of his hotly anticipated Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, on Tuesday night.
He was joined at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood by his costar and on-screen love interest Elle Fanning, who contrasted his edgy black leather jacket with a glamorous white satin gown.
The film, which stars Timothée, 28, as the iconic singer–songwriter, traces Dylan’s rapid ascent as he goes from his overnight success as a folk singer to becoming a defining architect of rock music and one of the most gifted lyricists of all time.
The James Mangold–directed film also portrays the famous moment when Dylan shocked audiences at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965 by ditching his acoustic guitar in favor of an electric guitar backed by a rock band.
Timothée showed off his rock-star cool by wearing a classic black leather jacket.
He jazzed it up with several buttons around the outer breast pocket with photos of Dylan in his prime, as well as one that read ‘Get Born,’ a phrase from Subterranean Homesick Blues, the song that opens Dylan’s first electric LP, 1965’s Bringing It All home.

Chalamet also sported a short goatee after growing his mustache out for his upcoming film Marty Supreme.
Ironically, the facial hair made him look more like current-day Bob Dylan than his ’60s incarnation, as the 83-year-old musician often favors a thin, old-fashioned mustached while on his never-ending tour.
Elle Fanning, who plays Timothée’s love interest in A Complete Unknown, looked stunning in a backless cream-colored satin gown.
The flowing dress featured a modest train trailing behind her and glittering, beaded straps.
The dress exposed much of the 26-year-old actress’ back, with long straps bisecting it.
Elle channeled a ’60s-chic look by giving her blond locks plenty of volume and tying them into two short pigtails.

Iger was more casually attired than many of the other attendees with black zip-up suede jacket, which he wore over a white T-shirt and dark trousers.
Elle Fanning took a moment to support some of A Complete Unknown’s behind-the-scenes talent when she posed with costume designer Arianne Phillips, who wore a vibrant emerald green blouse with a thick black coat.
Most of the primary cast assembled on the red carpet, including Will Harrison, who plays Bob Neuwirth, and Nick Pupo, whose role hasn’t been disclosed, as well as Eriko Hatsune, who plays Pete Seeger’s wife Toshi Seeger.
The actors were joined by director James Mangold, as well as Matthew Greenfield, the president of Searchlight Pictures.
