Molly-Mae Hague looked almost unrecognisable in a throwback snap that has resurfaced in the wake of the release of her new documentary, Behind It All.
When she set foot in the Love Island villa in 2019, fans first saw the then 20-year-old’s polished appearance complete with fillers, a deep tan and a very defined and chiselled jawline.
However, before she became a household name thanks her appearance on the ITV2 show, Molly-Mae looked drastically different while filming a makeup tutorial before her career took off.
After her stint in the villa, an Instagram meme account called I’m Just Bait shared before and after snaps of the blonde beauty, showing an image from her old YouTube videos compared to how she looked at the time.
The older snap from 2018 sees a fresh-faced Molly-Mae going make-up free as she showcased her natural features in the clip.
However, a short time later, Molly-Mae underwent an epic transformation, with the star having experimented with cosmetic procedures to alter the look of her face – something which she later told she regretted because of how ‘different’ it made her look.

The meme account captioned the comparison photos: ‘Bro what is Molly-Mae doing?’, with fans at the time commenting on how different Molly-Mae had looked.
Confused by her changing look, one asked: ‘She didn’t look like that on Love Island. Did she?’, while another questioned: ‘The bottom pic is edited right?’.
While Molly-Mae soared to fame with her striking look, two years later Molly-Mae got her fillers dissolved and told how her former image left her ‘terrified’.
Speaking in 2021, Molly-Mae admitted she didn’t recognise herself by the time she reached the age of 21, having had a variety of cosmetic procedures done.
The influencer Molly-Mae at the time had her lip and jaw filler dissolved and her composite bonding veneers removed, saying she’s ‘terrified of myself’ when she looks at past pictures.
She said on The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett podcast: ‘I wouldn’t say I got addicted to it, but by the age of 21, I didn’t look like the same person.
‘I literally looked like a different person. When I look back at pictures now, I’m terrified of myself. I’m like, “Who was that girl?” I don’t know what happened.
‘But there was this one pivotal moment where I’d gone and got loads of filler and I posted a YouTube video and I hadn’t let the filler settle and it was really swollen and a screenshot from that video, it trended on Twitter for weeks.

These days, the star is happy and comfortable with her looks, years after getting her fillers dissolved [pictured last month]
‘It was horrendous. It was utterly horrendous. My face was literally like, it was just awful. That was the moment for me as well where I was like, I think things need to change.
‘I thought, one day I’m going to get my lips dissolved. It was a process. I went and got my lips dissolved and I posted about it on YouTube and I didn’t expect the response that I got. It was huge.’
The television personality told at the time how she feels more comfortable in her own skin than she ever has done before, confessing she took her fillers to the ‘extreme’.
It comes after Molly-Mae denied her split from Tommy Fury was a ‘publicity stunt’, admitting it would have been easier if the ‘painful’ accusations were true.
The influencer, 25, faced a backlash from fans after she and ex-fiancé Tommy were filmed sharing a passionate kiss on New Year’s Eve ahead of the launch of her three-part Prime Video series, with doubters claiming their breakup was staged.
But Molly has opened up on the ‘turmoil’ of enduring their separation on a public scale, saying the demise of their five-year romance was ‘very, very real.’

The former Love Island star admits the couple are now working through their problems following Tommy’s shock confession that he became ‘addicted to alcohol.’
Molly, who shares two-year-old daughter Bambi with the boxer, said her biggest ‘frustration’ was having their August breakup questioned by skeptics when there was a lot more happening behind the scenes.
Speaking at The Londoner Hotel on Thursday ahead of the release of Behind It All, Molly said: ‘I actually say in the documentary that I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier… That for me above everything has been the most frustrating part.
The former Love Islander admitted she didn’t recognise herself by the time she was 21, having had a variety of cosmetic procedures
‘Because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard.
‘To have those comments and I do see the comments, I see all of them, and people saying ‘this has obviously just been done for the launch of her brand or a publicity stunt’ that is very painful to read because it’s real life.
‘Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real. It’s a really hard thing that we have both gone through the past six months.
‘I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t, and I think this documentary will clear up any questions of that.
‘You see the real side to it; it’s like you’re a fly on the wall and I think people will be quite surprised by how honest we have been.’

After the exes were seen kissing at a New Year’s Eve party, Tommy has also been pictured leaving Molly’s Cheshire home early in the morning, sparking reports the pair have rekindled their relationship.
And Molly admits they are attempting to ‘navigate’ a ‘complicated’ situation while putting first the needs of their young child.
She said: ‘We are navigating a really complicated time in both our lives in the public eye. This is a whole new territory for me. I have never really had to… Tommy and mine’s relationship has been in the public eye always but to deal with this breakup with millions of eyes watching you it is hard, and it is complicated.
‘The reason why I don’t comment on it or speak about it on my YouTube or publicly is because simply we are both navigating it ourselves, we are figuring it out as adults and as parents.’
