A set of financial proposals has been offered to UK expats who are looking to move abroad, with several locations in Europe being prepared to pay people to live there.
Moving abroad may seem daunting to many but it is hoped the money will persuade people to relocate.
Italy – Sardinia
Just over €15,000 (around £12,447) is being offered to Britons to move to Sardinia. The island is suffering from a population loss and the proposition is aimed to bring life to the rural towns.
Expats would have to buy and renovate a home in an island town which has fewer than 3,000 residents to qualify for the money.
Upon the purchase of the property too, it is a requirement to become a full-time Sardinian resident within 18 months of the purchase.

Greece – Antikythera
The remote island of Antikythera has a minute population of just 45 people, but Greece is offering €500 (around £414) a month to live there plus free accommodation and free food.
The money is to combat the island’s decreasing population, with the cash incentive being offered for three years after they move in.
The island is located to the north-west of Crete and is only 84 miles away.
Ireland
Ireland is offering up to €84,000 (just over £69,000) in cash grants for those ready to buy properties on its coastal islands.
Across Ireland, there are 30 coastal islands with a total population of around 3,000 people. The country is hoping that young residents will take up the vacant properties scattered across the islands.
The only condition is that expats must be willing to buy and renovate the property plus live in it for at least a decade.
Moving to Irish coastal regions can earn expats nearly £70,000

Spain is offering €2,971 (around £2,584) to move to the island of Ponga with that sum being paid to every baby born in the area too.
Calabria in Italy is hoping to boost its population by offering up to €28,000 (£24,355) to UK expats if they move there.
Albinen in the Swiss Alps is also offering €50,000 (£43,500) for families to move there.
