A teenager has been arrested after a 12-year-old boy fell in a Cheshire playground and died.

Logan Carter died after falling from park apparatus at Wharton Recreation Ground in the Cheshire town of Winsford on Friday, August 29.

Cheshire Police said it is exploring reports that an e-bike was used to “propel a roundabout” in the park.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The teen was later released under investigation.

The force said it is exploring a “number of lines of inquiry” into what happened.

Mr Carter was described by his family as having an “infectious personality and beautiful smile”.

In a tribute issued by police, his heartbroken loved ones said: “Everyone wanted to be where Logan was. He was a little boy who was so full of life and wanted to make everyone laugh.
