Adele kissed son Angelo and fiancée Rich Paul after making an emotional speech to draw her blockbuster two-year Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace to a close on Saturday evening.
The British singer, 36, recalled the start of her stint in Sin City as ‘f****** rocky’ and described 2022 which saw her cancel gigs less than 24 hours before the first show, as the ‘worst year of her life’.
Her entire 24-date residency was scrapped the 11th hour claiming half her team has Covid and they ‘ran out of time’ for the show to be ready.
On stage Adele chugged a glass of wine and told the huge audience of 5K fans, in a clip shared to X: ‘I am so sad that this residency is over and I am so glad That it happened I really really am,’
‘It got off to such a f****** rocky rocky way, it was one of the worst year’s of my life. I was being punched around, it was horrible and I was told it was career suicide and Vegas would never forgive me for [cancelling] so last minute’.

At the time Adele admitted she was ‘gutted’ to cancel the shows as a result of COVID-19 cases among crew members (pictured 2022)
Choking back tears continued: ‘But we were talking as a team team earlier, That’s when I first started crying, had I done that show I cancelled, I certainly wouldn’t be standing her tonight doing my 100 show here’.
She went on: ‘If something doesn’t feel right to you, in anything, don’t f****** do it it doesn’t matter what, and I am talking about gut instinct, if something doesn’t feel right don’t do it’.
‘I am bursting with pride and I am so proud of myself and so proud of my team, the band, my fans I’m so thankful to Vegas for giving me that second chance’.
Following her speech she made her way into the audience where she embraced Rich, 43, after finally confirming their engagement in August, and her son with whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki, 50.
Back in 2022 fans paying between $85 and $12,000 for a ticket – or up to $30,000 on the black market – had already travelled to Las Vegas from all over the world including the UK for the opening gig.
But with just 24 hours to go the British star cancelled her entire 24-night run, which was due to make her $685,000 (£500,000) per performance before merchandising – a Vegas record.
‘Weekends With Adele’ was due to run through April in Las Vegas, with all available tickets sold out. In an Instagram post, a visibly upset Adele said: ‘I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready’, saying they ‘ran out of time’.
‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.
She went on: ‘I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time,’ she continued, as her voice started to break. ‘I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.’

Fans wished her and her team well but questioned why Adele and her team had only come to that conclusion on the eve of her first show.
The Weekends With Adele’ residency was announced in November 2021, but the run up had not been smooth.
Adele and her ex-husband split up in 2019 and she found her life under the spotlight once again.
‘I’m still not fully over it, of me choosing to dismantle my child’s life for my own makes me very uncomfortable,’ she said, in an interview with CBS at the time.
Ahead of her final show Adele revealed sheds ‘run out of gas’ both emotionally and physically following her two-year stint of shows.
After the hugely lucrative and successful run, as well as a 10-night residency at a purpose-built stadium in Munich, Adele is ready to hang up her microphone after the vast amount of shows left her feeling ‘battered’.
In a new interview ahead of her last show on Saturday, the Hello hitmaker told how she’s ready to say goodbye to her fans for an extended period of time, with Adele looking forward to enjoying plenty of bed rest and red wine – having denied herself the latter due to the impact it has on her vocal cords.
Speaking to audience members – which included The Mirror – at one of her recent shows in Sin City, Adele said: ‘Doing four hours a weekend of completely live singing is a lot. And I chat a lot, and I’m very, very sensitive and I’m emotional. I am battered after these shows. And I take every single person on in this room into my soul, I take you home with me.’
Further emphasising how much her epic shows have taken its toll on her, Adele joked that she looks like ‘the pigeon lady from Home Alone’, quipping she sports a ‘bedraggled’ appearance as she doesn’t get home until the early hours following her weekend shows.
The superstar, who’s been taking to the stage every Friday and Saturday, added that she’s been on ‘full recovery’ every Sunday to Thursday and despite her ‘love’ for the shows, she’s now ready for them ‘to be over’.
Following the show Adele took to Instagram with a slew of backstage snaps

During all her shows she makes her way through the audience of her fans and Saturday was no exception
In an epic finale a sea of pink confetti covered the stage
Touching on how she feels about finally completing her epic run in Vegas, Adele shared: ‘It’s a big deal to me because it’s very, very bittersweet. But this [residency] has been in my mind for four years…four years for one f***ing idea. So I’m looking forward to having loads of spare time to love on my kids, to love on my man and to love on another kid. To love on my house’
The Hometown Glory singer added that she ‘needs’ to ‘get back to my own life’, reports the publication.
During an interaction with the crowd, Adele noted that her initial plans were simple – to enjoy a bottle of red wine which she previously avoided because it ‘f***s me up’, ‘dries out my vocal cords’ and gives her the ‘worst hangovers’.
She continued: ‘Saturday night I’m probably going to have a [lot] of red wine. So that’s the most exciting thing for when the show ends! Then after that I think I’m just going to really, really veg until the end of the year. I feel like I’m early hibernating already.’
Delving further into her idealistic plans once her residency ends, the Tottenham-born star revealed how she wants to ‘“stay in bed” and “watch lots of TV’, adding that the relaxing session always ‘comforts her’.
The beauty added that she might even set herself a New Year’s resolution and may finally have time t stick to it and take it ‘seriously’.
