Another day, another Teamsheet… Mail Sport’s original football memory game that tests your football knowledge and excites and infuriates in equal measure.
Liverpool and Chelsea may not be facing off until October this season as the rivals get set to renew their acquaintances, but today we’re bringing you back to one of the most iconic clashes between the sides in recent times.
In 2014, the Reds were looking good for their first ever Premier League title under Brendan Rodgers, who had overseen an 11-game winning streak ahead of Chelsea coming to Anfield with just three league matches to go.
The mood was buoyant among Liverpool fans, but disaster struck in first half injury time when Steven Gerrard infamously slipped and allowed Demba Ba to put the Blues ahead, in one of the most costly moments ever in a top flight title race.
Willian would make it 2-0 to Chelsea deep into stoppage time in the second half to strike a cruel blow to Rodgers’ side, as they ultimately missed out on winning the league by two points to Manchester City, but can you remember Liverpool’s side that day?
It’s just for fun, so see how you fare and share your Teamsheet score… full instructions on how to play are at the bottom of the article and in the game itself – and make sure to come back tomorrow to play MailOnline’s latest Teamsheet from a memorable Premier League match.
Best of luck!
