SZA posted a sexy video clip of herself in a bikini hours after pushing back against a comment about her weight on social media Monday.
The hubbub began when the hitmaker, 35, who revealed her celebrity crush in a track on her new album, Lana, was looking back at a troubling time in her life with a video she reposted from the Covid lockdown on X.
‘Covid was hard … my granny had just died … I was hella depressed n masking,’ she explained, adding that she was ‘not eating’ and ‘over working out.’
‘But I always had my childhood home to n get lost. Still do,’ she said. ‘Grateful to be in a much better mental space now. s/o to those days tho.’
When someone commented that the Nobody Gets Me singer ‘got big’ during that time, SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe, made a stern reply.
‘Yall say weird s**t like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore . Lol,’ the Kill Bill artist wrote.
She explained what she meant, adding ‘Yall do realize I mean different as in I don’t go on live+ talk and don’t communicate w yall like that anymore lmao not different as in change my appearance tf.’

The BET Award winner opened up about her mental health struggles in an interview with British Vogue.
‘Every day I grapple with, ‘Am I done with music?’ Maybe I’m just not meant to be famous – I’m crashing and burning and behaving erratically. It’s not for me because I have so much anxiety,’ she explained.
‘But why would God put me in this position,’ she reasoned, ‘if I wasn’t supposed to be doing this? So I just keep trying to rise to the occasion. But I’m also just like, “Please, the occasion is beating my a**.”‘
SZA said she gained weight after getting a Brazilian Butt Lift. ‘I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid. But who gives a f**k? ‘
I’ll do a whole bunch more s**t just like it if I want to before I’m f**king dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other s**t that I need to work on about myself,’ she said.
‘I need to get my f**king mental health together… Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be.’
