Roving Sunrise reporter Katie Brown was left red-faced on Friday after a very poorly timed act occurred during a live broadcast.
The presenter was delivering the morning sport headlines live from Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne around 6am when a delivery arrived.
As the broadcast cut back to Katie from a cricket report, she was left embarrassed as a coffee that she had ordered earlier arrived.
‘Talk about perfect timing,’ Katie said, taking the on air faux pas in her stride.
‘You know what it’s like when you’re on set, right, and you really need that caffeine hit?’
The reporter then reached off camera to retrieve a bag containing her coffee order.

‘Thank you,’ she said to the delivery driver who remained off camera.
‘It was supposed to come at 6.20, I promise it was not to come in sport, but we somehow managed that.’
The camera then panned to show the delivery man driving away, with Katie shouting: ‘Five stars, thank you. We even got a wave.’
Back in the studio, Sunrise hosts David Woiwod and Edwina Bartholomew were left amused by the on air gaffe and Katie’s reaction.
‘You’ve got to give him a tip, Katie,’ David advised and Katie agreed, before adding: ‘You wait ’til our next sport break, I’ll be on fire.’
Edwina punctuated the hilarious moment with: ‘If you’re in Melbourne this morning, bring Katie Brown another coffee.’
The exchange was shared to the Sunrise Instagram page, with many fans praising Katie as a ‘breath of fresh air.’
‘You are the best and everything you do naturally expresses the things we love most about this wonderful country,’ one viewer gushed.

Another chimed in: ‘@katiebrownaus is such a down to earth breath of fresh air on morning TV.
‘Thanks for kick starting the days with such a fun and lighthearted take on the world. Keep being you.’
Katie’s coffee incident comes after she was involved in another awkward on-air moment in December.
She was interviewing students during a live cross at a school in Sydney’s west about their HSC results when she mistook a teacher for a pupil.
Katie was moving through a large group of students who were enjoying a post-HSC celebration when the snafu occurred.
She had just finished talking to a student at St John Paul II Catholic College in Schofields when she tapped the shoulder of a female nearby.
‘Who have we got here,’ Katie asked.
‘Thank you,’ she said to the delivery driver who remained off camera. ‘It was supposed to come at 6.20, I promise it was not to come in sport, but we somehow managed that’
After the teacher identified herself as Mrs. Canning, Katie cheekily asked her about her HSC results.
However, the teacher refused to play along and switched focus to highlight her student’s achievements.
‘I’m really proud of them. They did really well and worked really hard,’ she said.
Katie quickly recovered and told the youthful teacher: ‘You are also aging very well, I mistook you for a student.’
