Who to buy, sell and captain ahead of FPL deadline

The games come thick and fast, as the European football schedule kicks into gear next week, so the risk of rotation is high.

Here are our top tips for FPL GW6…

Captain: Erling Haaland – Man City – £11.9m

He’s scored nine goals in five games including back-to-back hat-tricks and faces a really poor Aston Villa team. Yes, Manchester City are in Champions League action on Tuesday but don’t overthink it, don’t overthink Pep Roulette. Captain him. If you haven’t got him, buy him and captain him.

Dean Henderson – Nottingham Forest – £4.6m

Yes, he’s just shipped six to Manchester City but he’s still the top-scoring goalkeeper in the game so far, with two penalty saves to his name. He faces Bournemouth this weekend, without question the worst team in the league, and this should be an easy clean sheet before an expected price rise.

Danny Welbeck – Brighton – £6.5m

The striker made a good start to the season and Brighton’s forward line simply did not work in midweek against Fulham, falling to their first defeat. Brighton’s fixtures are good over the next few weeks, starting with a dismal Leicester side at home this weekend. A good differential.

Alexander Isak – Newcastle – £7m

The £60million striker made a brilliant start to life in the Premier League with a goal away at Liverpool, and was an inch – and a offside flag – away from a second. Newcastle’s fixtures over the next five games are better than any other club and Isak on Saturday makes his home debut against Crystal Palace, who we all know can be got at.
