Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham continue to try and add to their squads during the final few days of the window. A frantic finish at Stamford Bridge could see several stars arrive with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a top target. In defence, Harry Maguire could be an alternative to Wesley Fofana’s proposed £85million move.
Arsenal look to be about to miss out on Pedro Neto, leading the club towards a potential bid for Wilfried Zaha. Youri Tielemans, Lucas Paqueta, Yeremy Pino and Mykhaylo Mudryk all have unresolved futures having been linked with the Gunners.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are thought to be chasing an extra attacker after a recent period of inactivity. Leeds star Daniel James is believed to be of interest, while Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is thought to be another surprise target. Now, there are fresh reports suggesting Antonio Conte is once again keen on Adama Traore. Follow all of the latest news, gossip and rumours below!
Chelsea improve Aubameyang offer
Chelsea have offered £17million to Barcelona for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Sport report on the deal not including any add-ons or Marcos Alonso, which the Spanish giants would prefer.
However, they are holding out for closer to £23m despite the new fee solving their inability to register Jules Kounde for LaLiga action.
Xavi is said to be reluctant to lose the player, who scored a fine goal against Manchester City in last night’s charity friendly, with Aubameyang previously reported to have agreed a three-year deal to reunite with Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
Zaha to Arsenal latest
Wilfried Zaha remains on Arsenal’s agenda after a number of years of the club and player being linked with one another.
Transfer journalist Dean Jones says the interest is in the “background” for the Gunners amid rumours regarding Pedro Neto, Yeremy Pino and Lucas Paqueta.
Nothing too substantial with this rumour for now, then, but things move fast in the final days of the transfer window…
Arsenal in Pedro Neto blow
Wolves will not be selling Pedro Neto this summer.
Portuguese outlet O Jogo report on the door to a £50million sale being firmly closed by the Molineux club.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with the player, having reportedly offered £35m before seemingly now moving onto other targets.
Maitland-Niles on the move?
Aurier set for Forest move
Nottingham Forest are not done in the transfer market yet!
The Daily Mail claim that Serge Aurier is close to becoming the club’s 19th signing of the summer after undergoing a medical.
The former Tottenham defender is currently a free agent, and is expected to sign a one-year deal at Forest.
United prepare huge Antony bid
Manchester United will not be denied, it seems.
Sky Sports report that they are willing to submit a bid of €94m including add-ons for Antony, a fee which is likely to match Ajax’s valutation.
With the Brazilian extremely keen to make the move to England, United will be confident of completing a deal.
Pepe set for Arsenal exit
Arsenal’s record signing Nicolas Pepe is poised to leave the club on loan.
The Ivorian winger is set to travel to France to undergo a medical at Ligue 1 side Nice after the two clubs agreed a season-long deal on Wednesday, potentially linking up with Aaron Ramsey at Allianz Riviera.
However, such a move does not spell the end of Pepe’s unhappy stay in north London just yet, with Standard Sport understanding that there is no option to buy the player next summer included in the loan.

Chelsea could turn to Maguire
Chelsea may launch an audacious late swoop for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire before next week’s transfer deadline if they are unable to land Wesley Fofana.
Frenchman Fofana has long since been established as Thomas Tuchel’s top defensive target at Stamford Bridge, but so far the Blues have been met with repeated frustration in their attempts to strike a deal.
Chelsea had already seen two bids for the 21-year-old rejected before a third offer understood to be worth up to £70million including add-ons was instantly dismissed on Tuesday as Leicester hold out for a world-record fee for a defender that would equal that which they received from United for Maguire back in 2019.

Besiktas close in on Dele
Dele Alli is on the verge of completing his move to Besiktas.
