Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all still trying to add to their squads ahead of the proverbial window slamming shut. With only a few days left, Thomas Tuchel is set to add Wesley Fofana to his list of options as the Leicester City star jets out to the USA for a medical, although there are said to be doubts in regards to their pursuits of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Anthony Gordon.

Another Chelsea target, namely Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, could yet be the centre of quite the tussle. While Tuchel is keen on the forward, reports suggest Arsenal may rival their interest late in the window, with Mikel Arteta eager to land a new winger.

At Spurs, meanwhile, the focus has been on outgoings of late. Still, Antonio Conte is eager for strength in depth, with Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi reportedly a late target as the Italian bids to add more options.

Wolves boss Bruno Lage reiterated that he was almost certain that the Portuguese captain – previously a target for the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool – would stay put for another season, with his current contract set to run until 2024.

“I can confirm I’m 99 per cent sure that Ruben Neves will stay at Wolverhampton this summer,” Lage told Sky Sports.

Moyes confirms big-money signing imminent after medical takes place

West Ham boss David Moyes has confirmed that Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta has undergone a medical ahead of his club record move to the London Stadium.

The Brazilian international is set to become Moyes’ eighth signing of the summer in a deal that could eventually rise to €60million including add-ons.

“I understand he’s had a medical today, I’ve not ben able to confirm yet if it’s all good or all bad,” Moyes said, following Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa. “I’m obviously really hoping it comes off because I think he’s an excellent player, he can add something for us.

“He’s another exciting player for us. We’ve brought in several players and a lot of them are full internationals.”

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has spoken about the club’s need to strengthen ahead of a busy season.

While things have slowed down at Spurs of late, perhaps sporting director Fabio Paratici could still make a late move.

Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi is believed to be a target and could emerge as an option in the final few days.

According to the Daily Express, the Serie A star could come into their thinking.

“So, Malinovskyi might fall under consideration.

“Forest, I know, were looking at him actually before they got Gibbs-White. I think other Premier League clubs may even look at Malinovskyi.”
