Sevilla vs Manchester City: Champions League preview

Pep Guardiola has insisted his side do not need to win the biggest prize in club football to mark his stay at the club a success, though as ever, the pressure is on the Premier League champions to finally conquer Europe.

With Erling Haaland hitting double figures domestically already, City will now need him to continue his excellent Champions League record too.

First up is a Sevilla side in somewhat of a crisis. Royalty in Europa League football, the Spanish side are winless in their opening four LaLiga games.

The home side are in such poor form at the moment, it’s difficult to see a way in which they can beat City, even if Guardiola’s side have been somewhat lax defensively of late.
