How West Ham are expected to lineup against Silkeborg

avid Moyes has confirmed both Aaron Cresswell and Craig Dawson are in contention to face Silkeborg.

The defensive duo have trained after injuries, with Dawson only just returning from a thigh injury by making a late cameo against FCSB.

Ahead of their trip to Denmark in the Europa Conference League, Moyes confirmed the pair, along with Maxwel Cornet, are available although the artificial pitch West Ham are set to play on could complicate matters further. Tomas Soucek is in the squad but would have been a doubt had Sunday’s meeting with Newcastle gone ahead, raising a question as to how likely he is to start.

Ben Johnson, meanwhile, is not fit to travel.

Club-record signing Lucas Paqueta could also feature, while fellow summer arrival Gianluca Scamacca has been Moyes’ go-to striking option during the European campaign thus far.

After needing to come from behind last week, Moyes is looking for a quick-fire improvement from his side, who had to turn to more experienced players last week in order to get a result.

“We didn’t enjoy how we were in the first half at all,” said the Scot on Wednesday.

“We picked up, but we’ve watched it back and we missed a lot of chances in the first half which would have made a difference. We did actually play some good stuff before half time but missed chances.

“We changed it up in the second half and what we’ve got now is a stronger group who can do that.”

West Ham predicted XI (4-3-3): Areola; Coufal, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Emerson; Rice, Paqueta, Downes; Cornet, Scamacca, Benrahma

Injured; Ben Johnson
