A brawl broke out in the second quarter of Sunday afternoon’s game between the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.
As a result, Giants cornerback Cor’Dale Flott and Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel were ejected from the contest.
Commanders quarterback Sam Howell had the ball right outside the end zone after he shrugged off Giants linebacker Micah McFadden and pinballed off Deonte Banks. The ball was already across the line when Howell was tackled by Robert Nnanna Okereke and Xavier McKinney.
Howell managed on his feet before McKinney shoved him out of bounds and down to the turf.
In an attempt to confront McKinney, Washington wide receiver Curtis Samuel shoved Flott out of his way and the brawl broke out as players crowded the sideline.
Washington’s Charles Leno Jr. put his helmet on McKinney’s as Samuel and Flott’s shoving match continued and Howell stayed laying on the turf.
