Simu Liu’s house was burglarized last week during the holiday season amid the latest string of celebrity home break-ins.
Fortunately, the 35-year-old actor was not home at the time of the break-in.
Additionally, there reportedly was nothing of value in the house to be taken as he is currently doing renovations at his Los Angeles property, per TMZ.
Sources from the local law enforcement confirmed to the outlet that the incident occurred on Friday evening around 11:00 p.m. when an intruder smashed a glass door.
Security was alerted of the break-in and called the police, who ended up finding nobody inside when they searched the house for suspects.
This comes as the Barbie star — who called out a Canada-based bubble tea company for cultural appropriation during his appearance on Dragons’ Den — prepares for his new movie release and the promo tour for his upcoming diving drama biopic Last Breath.

The Marvel star, who is known for starring in the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is not the only celebrity who had their home broken into this past year.
In 2024, a slew of A-listers including Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson as well as Jessie J, Tyler Perry, Sophia Bush and Marlon Wayans had their Los Angeles homes broken into.
Over the summer, Wayans’ $5.3 million farmhouse in the San Fernando Valley was targeted by burglars.
In October, Jessie J also fell victim to a rash of burglaries targeting wealthy residents in the greater Los Angeles area.
More than $20,000 in jewelry was stolen from her Southern California mansion.
Back in August, law enforcement officials also confirmed that Hanks and Wilson’s cliffside property in the Pacific Palisades was broken into while they were not home.
Bhad Bhabie and Sarah Hyland also had their homes broken into this past summer.
