Shannon Noll almost escaped the eye of fans when he stepped out at the 2024 TikTok Awards in Sydney on Wednesday.
The inaugural Australian Idol runner-up, 49, looked almost unrecognisable on the event’s ‘pink carpet’, displaying a definite air of sartorial elegance.
The Learn To Fly hitmaker is usually at home rocking a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, possibly accentuating the outfit with a ‘flanno’ or a well-worn trucker cap.
But Shannon decided to go all out as he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Jojo Siwa, Robert Irwin and Anna Paul at the glittering event.
The Masked Singer star cut a very dapper figure in an eye-catching red collared shirt that he wore, untucked, underneath a black dinner jacket.
The jacket featured a monocoloured paisley pattern and a thin black lapel.

He matched his boho-cool jacket with a pair of form-fitting black jeans and a pair of pointed boots made from what appeared to be crocodile leather.
Shannon accessorised with some silver bling around his neck that was exposed thanks to an unbuttoned shirt.
He finished off the stylish ensemble with a dapper black fedora that featured a turquoise feather for a pop of colour.
The rocker could not hide his innate larrakin, offering photographers a hearty thumbs up as he smiled widely.

The singer recently revealed the moment he decided to transform his lifestyle and physical appearance.
The Lift hitmaker told Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie in April, he started hitting the gym after realising he was ‘getting fat-skinny’.
‘I’ve been back in the gym for a good eighteen months now,’ he said.
Host Ryan Fitzgerald asked: Was there a catalyst for that Shannon? Was there a moment where you went “you know what I’m not happy with the way I’m living my life and I need to change”?’
‘Yeah, I started getting fat-skinny mate, because I’m naturally skinny anyway, I’ve got skinny legs. If I don’t train and drink then you end up looking like E.T.,’ Shannon said.
‘You get the beer gut,’ Fitzy responded.
Shannon agreed, adding: ‘Yeah that’s right… I couldn’t have that so I thought I have to get back in the gym again. I train really hard and try to watch what I eat when I’m training.’
Shannon’s admission came after he and Cosima De Vito addressed rumours they were embroiled in a feud after their stints on Australian Idol.
The singers rose to fame on the first ever series of the talent show in 2003, making it all the way to the final three alongside Guy Sebastian, who was ultimately crowned the winner.
Cosima placed third after being forced to quit the competition due to throat nodules threatening to damage her voice, leaving the fans rooting for her devastated.
At the time, viewers speculated whether Cosima secured more votes than Shannon despite her departure for her health, prompting wild rumours of a rift between them.
However, more than 20 years on, the pair have firmly denied that there was ever any bad blood between them as they reunited to duet on Shannon’s new album, That’s What I’m Talking About.

Shannon admitted he felt ‘bad’ for Cosima after her ‘rough’ and sudden exit from Australian Idol, but insisted they have always been friends despite the drama.
Of the criticism Shannon received for making the final after her exit, Cosima admitted to Woman’s Day: ‘I felt really bad for Shannon, I felt really guilty.
‘We never talked about it, and we were always friends, and it was understood that we wanted the best for each other, there were never any hard feelings in any way, shape or form.’
The pair reunited on Shannon’s new album – the 20th anniversary re-release of his 2004 debut That’s What I’m Talking About – having secretly recorded a new version of Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean’s country music hit Don’t You Wanna Stay.
Shannon said of the new track: ‘I thought what better way to mend the bridges for her than to get her on a single and back on radio, she was tickled pink to be a part of it and she blew her vocals out of the water.’
Cosima described singing with Shannon once again as ‘special’ as she admitted the 20 years that have passed since Australian Idol fell away as they reunited.
Shannon parlayed his early Australian Idol fame into a successful recording and touring career, that has seen him release six studio albums.
He has also enjoyed ten ARIA to-ten singles including chart-toppers What About Me, Learn To Fly, and Shine.
