Jane Ferguson Luedecke has travelled from Australia to Britain to support her younger sister Sarah during a particularly challenging period, according to royal commentator Phil Dampier.

The arrival of Sarah’s elder sibling comes as the former working royal faces mounting pressure following recent revelations about her connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Mr Dampier disclosed the family reunion, stating: “I can reveal her older sister Jane has recently flown over from Australia to comfort her in the UK.”

The 66-year-old Sarah is understood to be struggling amid the fallout from various scandals, prompting Jane to make the long journey to provide familial support.

Sources describe the current period as an exceptionally difficult time for both Prince Andrew and Sarah.

The recent turmoil began when correspondence between Sarah and Epstein surfaced, revealing she had referred to the financier as a “supreme friend” in 2011.

This message emerged despite her public declarations of severing ties with him.

Representatives for Sarah maintain she composed the message while fearing potential threats against her family members.

The consequences proved immediate and severe. Multiple charitable organisations severed their connections with the 66-year-old, with both The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and Prevent Breast Cancer amongst those terminating her patronage roles.

Last Friday, both Sarah and her former husband announced they would permanently abandon their royal titles following what Andrew described as a “discussion with the King” and other family members.

Mr Dampier continued to tell Woman’s Day magazine: “[Sarah] needed support and Jane has been there for her when she needed it.”

GB News commentator Lizzie Cundy, who maintains a friendship with Sarah, recently defended her during an appearance on the Jeremy Vine programme.

Lizzie described Sarah as being “in hell” and “absolutely devastated” by losing her charitable positions.

“Sarah is absolutely devastated about losing the charities,” she stated.

“Especially the cancer one, herself had a cancer diagnosis recently. She’s absolutely devastated.

“She’s a human being, a mother, she’s going through hell.”

The family continues to face scrutiny over their living arrangements at Royal Lodge in Windsor. Sarah has resided at the property since 2008, whilst maintaining close ties with her former husband despite their 1996 divorce.

Princess Beatrice was photographed visiting her parents at the estate on Monday, demonstrating ongoing family unity during this turbulent period.

Fresh controversy emerged this week when it was disclosed that Andrew has occupied the Crown Estate property without paying rent since 2003, despite holding a 75-year lease.

The revelation has prompted Prime Minister Keir Starmer to support a parliamentary inquiry that would require Andrew to answer questions in person about his two-decade residency at the Windsor estate.
