Sarah Ferguson’s return to the UK is “obviously” timed to coincide with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s shock move, a royal expert has claimed.
Reports emerged overnight that Ms Ferguson, the former wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was to end her seven-month exile from Britain, following in the footsteps of the Sussexes.
It has been suggested that the former Duchess of York could be set to move into a six-bedroom gated property in the Home Counties at a cost of £10,000 per month.
The former Duchess of York has not been seen in the UK since her eviction from Royal Lodge in Windsor earlier this year.
Notably, the move comes as Harry and Meghan also returned to the country – albeit after a longer six-year absence.
The Sussexes have enrolled Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in a British school – believed to be in the Cotswolds – with the couple now house-hunting in the region.
It appears that Ms Ferguson may be using the media frenzy of the Sussexes’ return to sneak in through the back door – according to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams.
The expert told GB News that the 66-year-old’s return is “obviously timed to coincide with the Sussexes’ shock move”.

“Her future antics will add to the oceans of publicity surrounding the royals but heaven knows what she plans to do next,” he said.
Ms Ferguson and her former husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were both stripped of their royal titles by King Charles last October, as the fallout from Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein intensified.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor remains under investigation by Thames Valley Police over allegations that he shared confidential information with Epstein during his decade-long tenure as a government trade envoy, a role he held from 2001 to 2011.
Documents released as part of the Epstein files appeared to show him forwarding official reports about diplomatic trips to the convicted sex trafficker.

REUTERSHe was arrested on his 66th birthday in February – the first such detention of a royal in modern history – on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Ms Ferguson herself has faced scrutiny after it emerged she had written to Epstein describing him as a “supreme friend,” though there is no suggestion she committed any criminal offence.
Speaking to the Evening Standard on March 7, 2011, the former Duchess of York expressed deep regret over her association with Epstein.
“I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf,” she said, after it emerged she had accepted roughly £15,000 from him.
