One of the hazards of being a wildlife warrior is getting up-close-and personal with critters when you least expect it.
That’s exactly what happened to Robert Irwin this week.
The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! host, 21, took to TikTok on Boxing Day to share a scene that would have most jumping for the rafters.
In the video, Robert began by saying: ‘Tell me you live in Australia without telling me you live in Australia.’
He then panned his phone around to reveal shoe rack lined with an array of footwear.
‘Have a look at the shoe rack,’ Robert exclaimed as it became evident that a large snake had perched itself across the top row of shoes.

‘What’s the plan here, mate? What are you doing? Those are mine!’ Robert said to the sly serpent, referring to a pair of boots the snake was eyeing off.
The snake, which is a non-venomous carpet python, then began to coil its long body inside one of Robert’s boots, much to his amazement.
‘I don’t know what the plan is there, buddy. You’re not going to fit in there,’ Robert added, however his words went unheeded with the snake embedding itself further into his boot.
‘Get out of my shoe!’ he exclaimed before admitting he was unclear how he would extricate the snake from his footwear.
Placing his phone down, Robert knelt in front of the boot and effortlessly pulling the snake from its would-be new home.
‘What are you doing on a shoe rack?’ Robert asked his slithering shoe squatter. ‘You don’t even have any feet!’
The post was met with a flurry of comments from followers with many suggesting the snake could not have chosen a better house to wander into.
‘Well that little guy wandered into the best house possible,’ one fan wrote, while another offered a similar, ‘He’s like I found Robert Irwin’s house and I’m staying. I will be well looked after.’
