Lyall Cameron is a player “Rangers fans should get excited about”, according to former Hibernian playmaker Scott Allan.
The attacking midfielder, 22, has agreed a deal to move to Ibrox in the summer when his Dundee contract expires.
The Premiership rivals will need to agree on a fee or have the matter of compensation settled by a Scottish FA tribunal.
“He’s a player I’ve admired for a long time,” Allan told BBC Scotland. “I think he’s exactly what Rangers need.
“Lyall is a player who’s always looking to get on the ball, looking to create, passes the ball forward, something that Rangers fans should get excited about.
“Also, it’s good to see young Scottish players from other clubs taking the step to Rangers or Celtic.
“He’s seen his former team-mate Luke McCowan go and have a good impact at Celtic. “
