Princess Eugenie has left the UK as ongoing speculation continues to surround her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Eugenie has been pictured with her friends in Paris. The Princess posed alongside two of her friends standing on a bridge above the River Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Both Eugenie and Princess Beatrice skipped the inaugural Pink Ball at the British Museum earlier this month. It was reported that both princesses were on the guest list for the event but chose not to attend.

The Ball was one day after Andrew made his announcement on October 17 that he would stop using his royal titles in the wake of the ongoing scrutiny.

Andrew is also currently in discussions with Buckingham Palace to leave Royal Lodge.

Reports suggested the Prince of Wales had requested that Beatrice and Eugenie help persuade their father to leave Royal Lodge or risk losing their royal titles if further action Andrew was taken.

However, this was quickly quashed when a source close to William clarified the situation.

The insider said that Prince William categorically did not threaten to remove his cousins’ titles if Andrew refused to leave the royal residence.

Despite this, the Palace has increased its efforts to persuade Andrew to move out of the Grade II 30-room mansion voluntarily, as his lease does not allow for forced removal.

Discussions between the two have occurred daily after public criticism of his rent-free living.

Assurances have been made to both Beatrice and Eugenie that their living situation will not change, and their respective accommodations at St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace remain secure.

Royal sources have indicated that the Palace understands the importance of protecting Andrew’s daughter’s interests whilst securing his relocation.

Andrew has been paying a token gesture towards the mansion every year since he moved in.

The agreement specifies that payment of “one peppercorn” yearly, “if demanded,” which has allowed him to live in the property despite not being a working royal since 2019.

Records indicate that the prince entered into a 75-year lease for the property in 2003, making an initial payment of £1m.

According to a National Audit Office report, he was additionally required to contribute £7.5m towards renovations that were completed in 2005.
