Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has shared a series of scenic images from a countryside holiday in North Wales, but the photos do not appear to have been taken recently.

Princess Beatrice’s husband uploaded five photographs to his Instagram story, showing the rolling hills, a picturesque lake and charming cottages from a stay at Wern Holiday Cottages.

Among the images were sweet shots of children enjoying the outdoors — including his nine-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie.

However, the pictures appear to have been taken some time ago, as Wolfie is currently on holiday in Florida with his mother, American architect Dara Huang.

She shared a carousel of photos from their summer trip to her own Instagram account, with a heartfelt caption reflecting on family, identity and home.

“No matter how many fancy places I’ve been to, there’s no place like home,” Dara wrote.

“Stark contrast but I like where I came from. I remember growing up being embarrassed of my parents, but as an adult I couldn’t be more proud of them.

“It was because of their love and support and creating a home that took me to where I am today.

“I feel ashamed that I ever thought that their culture or language was not something that I wanted to share.

“Love my little parents and pains me to see them aging. I wouldn’t change things for a second and sometimes I wish I could freeze time.”

In a humorous moment captured in the final image, Dara added: “Haha in the eighth slide my mom is saying in Chinese ‘don’t smile you, you have no teeth left.’”

While Edoardo did not include a caption with his North Wales post, the peaceful rural scenes and family-friendly setting suggest it may be a favourite spot.

Edoardo took a trip to North Wales with his son

Wern Holiday Cottages are located near the town of Tremadog in Gwynedd, and boast panoramic views of the Snowdonia mountains.

Wolfie is Edoardo’s son from his previous relationship with Huang.

He often appears in family events alongside Princess Beatrice, including royal occasions such as the Platinum Jubilee and Christmas at Sandringham. Despite their separation, Edoardo and Huang are known to co-parent amicably.

It remains unclear when the North Wales pictures were taken, but they offer a glimpse into the quiet family life Edoardo enjoys away from the spotlight.
