Prince William’s latest move left “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feeling betrayed,” according to a royal insider.
The Prince of Wales met US President-Elect Donald Trump earlier this month at the UK Ambassador’s residence in Paris before attending the Notre Dame Cathedral reopening.
Their meeting followed Prince Harry’s US visa battle where the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, attempted to make his immigration documents public.
In 2023, the Duke of Sussex released his memoir titled Spare, where he discussed taking recreational drugs in the past.

The Heritage Foundation contends that if the prince was honest about his previous drug use, he should have been denied entry into the US.
The case was dismissed in September by Judge Carl J. Nichols after he privately reviewed confidential Department of Homeland Security files.
Trump has previously suggested he could intervene regarding Harry’s visa “if he lied” about taking drugs.
Speaking to the Express, Trump stated: “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen.

“That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.”
Speaking to Closer following Trump’s meeting with Prince William, a source said: “This cuts deep on so many levels and feels like an appalling betrayal for Harry and Meghan.
“Prince William appeared to get along with Trump very well.
“Of course, William was fulfilling a professional role but Trump has been so vicious towards them and of course, William is aware of that, so Meghan and Harry can’t help but think he could have discussed it with them first.

“The whole situation has triggered a storm of emotions for Harry and Meghan.”
However, a friend of the Prince of Wales added: “William doesn’t care at all, he’s very clear that he was simply doing his duty being a professional.
“He’s not going to apologise for doing his job.”
Eric Trump, the President-Elect’s son, recently dismissed concerns about Harry’s visa status, telling The Mail: “Truthfully I don’t give a d**n about Prince Harry and I don’t think this country does either. I don’t give a d**n if [Harry] did drugs. It means nothing.”
