The family tragedy comes amid a difficult time for Charlotte as she was recently left ‘living in fear’ following a raid at her £1million mansion.
Charlotte, who is eight months pregnant, was upstairs with her daughter Alba when a gang of balaclava masked raiders entered her £1million Sunderland home last month.
One of the assailants was reportedly carrying a machete, with her fiancé Jake Ankers, 34, going on to chase the four robbers out of their home.
The couple have since enlisted heavy security in the wake of the scare as she said she isn’t taking any chances with her and her family’s safety after admitting that she’s been ‘living in fear’, telling her fans how she’s ‘trebled’ her security.
The pregnant star has since revealed her daughter Alba, two, is struggling to settle at night following the terrifying robbery attempt at her home last month.
The reality star confessed she had had a sleepless night with the toddler as she admitted she seemed unsettled and ‘scared’ and had been clinging to both her and her fiancé Jake.
Taking to her Instagram Story looking cosy in all black knitwear from her clothing brand Pepper Girls Club, Charlotte cradled her bump as she wrote: ‘Had a completely sleepless night last night with my little alba.’
The star explained: ‘She’s not settled well since being back, I don’t no [sic] whether that’s because she’s been away with us and we’ve all been together constantly or whether it’s just because she’s a little scared in the house since what happened.
