Speaking to the GB News Community Editor Michael Heaver, Keith Bays laid out the work he puts in to help produce Camilla Tominey’s Sunday show:
He explained: “My week starts on a Wednesday. And as soon as I come in, the first thing we’ve got to identify is what’s happening in the news, what’s going on.
“And that formulates how we think about how we’re going to book the show, what guests we’re going to get on for our for our fantastic viewers.
“But equally we’ve also got to be very reactive because news changes from day-to-day from hour to hour and sometimes we have to change our guests.
“So that is very malleable, that can change quite often. So that’s always in our thinking. We’ll regularly have meetings with Camilla to discuss what we’re going to do on the show.
“From a technical point of view, of course, we have to build the show.
“It has to be accurate but in addition to that we obviously have to write scripts. We have to do all of the sort of social media elements. So there’s quite a wide range of tasks that we have to do.”
