Shocking new pictures show the horrific wreckage Malin Andersson and her daughter Xaya narrowly escaped from with their lives after their £100,000 BMW car blew up on the motorway.
The Love Island star, 32, had earlier shared on Instagram that her vehicle had burst into flames just moments after they ran to safety down the dual carriageway.
But the true extent of the incident has now been revealed with horrific images showing their car mangled and in flames.
Malin and her daughter appeared lucky to escape unharmed, with the TV personality later remarking they were ‘seconds from death’.
Taking to her Instagram stories earlier on Monday, Malin told how smoke began to billow out of her car while she was driving along a dual carriageway with the youngster, two.

Erring on the side of caution, Malin told how she and Xaya rapidly exited the vehicle, only for it to catch fire and blow up just moments later.
Writing a message on her stories, she penned: ‘This morning I was driving with Xaya and my car started smoking out of nowhere.
‘I took me Xaya out and ran down the side of the dual carriageway in time and it blew up and caught fire minutes later.’
The beauty went on to say how she was ‘in shock’ and will be taking some time away from social media, with a pal dealing with all enquiries.
She added: ‘In shock, staying off here and @erintidey will answer emails or anything needed work wise. Me and Xaya are safe and sound.’
MailOnline have contacted representatives of Malin and BMW for comment.
Following her ordeal, Malin expressed her shock that she and her daughter were sop close to death, revealing that she now wants ‘answers’ from the car manufacturer.
She told The Sun: ‘I’m not usually affected by stuff, right? I’ve had the grief and all of that stuff happen to me, and I’ve kind of dealt with it, but never anything that’s put my own life with my daughter at risk. We were seconds from death.

‘It’s always been someone around me died, does that make sense? But to feel Xaya and me in that situation was just next level. But I can’t believe that they’d allow a car like that on the road, a hundred thousand pound car. I want answers.’
Malin, who only had her car serviced two months ago, went on to recall how she was initially made aware of a problem when she was alerted to an ‘engine failure’ warning.
Her instincts had kicked as she smelt smoke while driving along, with the TV star instantly stopping her car, throwing her daughter onto her back and fleeing from her daughter.
She added to the publication that as she was running, she was spotted by an ex soldier called Pete, who swooped into help and bundled the mother and daughter into his own car for safety.
Malin told how she was left ‘gobsmacked’ as she looked back on her car and saw it up in flames.
On how her daughter reacted, she added: ‘She didn’t understand what was going on, and she started crying, and then she was screaming, and then I was crying and shaking, and she was just going, mummy breathe, mummy breathe in.’
Furious at what happened, Malin went on to explain that she headed down to the BMW garage that night to ‘demand answers’, with BMV reportedly ‘investigating the matter’.
The horror motorway incident comes after Malin opened up about one of the darkest times of her life following her famous stint on Love Island – when she ‘used her mum’s inheritance to pay off a huge Botox debt’ in her early 20s.
The reality star shot to fame on the hit ITV dating show in 2016 but not too long after leaving the villa, she found herself splashing money to fund endless cosmetic procedures.
The make up artist-turned-mental health campaigner was in fact caught up in a vicious ‘cycle’ using different credit cards, until she was hit by a huge bill.
Yet, the ‘addiction’ – as she called it – made her reckless and unreliable, using her mum’s inheritance to pay off her debt after she died from stomach cancer in 2017.
The TV sensation admitted if she didn’t have such money at the time, she wouldn’t know what to do.
‘I wasted all my savings and got payday loans out for Botox and lip fillers in my early twenties. It was addictive and ridiculous,’ Malin admitted speaking to The Mirror.
‘You think those types of treatments are minor – a quick £200 or £300. But I took out loans to pay for them and they were like small pockets of debt.
‘I wasn’t worried about the money at the time. I didn’t care. It wasn’t like I was spending £10,000 on big surgery. But that’s the dangerous part of getting Botox and filler.’
The internet star reflected: ‘I loved a payday loan. It cost me more to pay it back than what I took out. And then when my mum died, I had to use her money to pay it all off. I got stuck in the cycle.

Malin has previously used her social media platforms to talk about her own journey with cosmetic surgery, often issuing warning to her followers and trying to raise awareness.
She has been praised by fans for becoming a vocal campaigner for body confidence, the dark side of fame and the problems with social media since moving into the limelight.
