The family of the woman at the centre of a murder investigation have paid tribute to a “much-loved daughter and adored mother”.
Emma McGowan, 39, was pronounced dead on after officers responded to an incident at an address on Yewdale Avenue, Bolton on Tuesday.
Joseph Webb, 36, of Yewdale Avenue, Bolton, was charged with murder and remanded in custody.
A family spokesperson said: “A much-loved daughter and adored mother to four young children. Our hearts are broken and we will miss you forever.”
