Nicole Kidman revealed the ‘train wreck’ red carpet look she thinks is her worst fashion faux pas which happens to be one of her most iconic looks.
On Friday, the 57-year-old Babygirl star dished on her past looks during an interview with W Magazine and touched on some ‘bad’ looks then she questions to this day.
‘My mama thought I had many bad red carpet looks,’ she admitted of her fashion fails.
‘I remember wearing a headdress once to the Golden Globes. I didn’t know what I was doing. Got to have a few train wrecks!’
The flapper-esque dress she is likely referring to — which she wore to the January 2004 Golden Globes — features a halter neckline and is adorned with oversized gold sequins that cascade down the sheer bodice. The backless gown teased her slender frame and teased her side boobs.
Her blonde locks were styled in tight curls as she accessorized with a gold headband paired with a matching clutch purse and bracelets, giving the retro-inspired look a Roaring Twenties vibe.

Pointing out her favorite red carpet look, Kidman called her 1997 Oscars ensemble where she dazzled in a chartreuse Dior by Galliano gown.
She attended the star studded night out with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. The exes were married for 11 years, from 1990 to 2001, citing irreconcilable differences.
Of the look the Australian beauty said, ‘I also love the Galliano gold gown for the 2000 Oscars, which no one talks about.
‘I wore the most beautiful little 24-karat gold vintage mesh gloves. They had little gemstones in them.’
She did note that she is inspired by the formality of men’s fashion in her day-today looks, saying she is ‘partial to a tie and a suit.’
‘My natural way of dressing would be far more pants, tie, suit, and a jacket,’ she shared.
Kidman added, ‘My first purchase when I’d saved all my per diem money was an Alaïa suit. I wish I kept it. It cost a fortune. It’s nauseating that I did that.’
Her fashion revelation comes just days before the 2025 Golden Globes which the actress is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in A24’s Babygirl.

Nicole recently told W Magazine that she is planning on saving all her favorite looks for two of her daughters, Faith, 14, and Sunday, 16, whom she shares with her singer husband, Keith Urban.
‘I have them all beautifully boxed,’ she told the outlet. ‘They’re museum pieces. They raid my wardrobe all the time.
‘I’m like, “Okay, what’s mine is yours.” But I don’t raid their closet, even though I’m like, “Oh, that’s cute.” But I’m not allowed to take anything. It’s a one-way exchange.’
The mother-of-four also shares a daughter, Bella, 32, who she adopted with Cruise back in 1992. The exes also adopted a son, Connor, 29.
‘I got married really fast and really young,’ she said back in 2012 of her marriage to the Mission Impossible actor.
‘But I don’t regret that because it got me Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period.’
