Some shoppers were not sure of the texture, with one writing: “They’re awful! Also undercooked!”. Another claimed they had a “rubbery texture”.
One more shared their disappointment at the size suggesting the bakery items are “half the size they used to be”, to which one more claimed – “yes, and double the price”.
Others commented on the flavour, penning they “couldn’t taste any cinnamon in the ones I had” and that they were “not nice at all”.
However, one shopper quickly jumped to their defence saying they found them “lovely”, adding “there was lots of cinnamon”.
A second agreed calling them “lovely, like cookie dough”, while a third described the bake as “gorgeous”. One more said they were “so good”.
Another hungry shopper simply said they “love the Lidl bakery”, while others tagged their friends to alert them to the new product.
The sweet treat was advertised as a “limited offer”, which means shoppers who would like to try it for themselves will need to act quickly.
