A National Lottery winner has vowed to treat his mates to a round of coffee after scooping a £1million jackpot.
The Northumberland man “couldn’t believe it” when he found out he had become a millionaire in a lottery win.
The winner scooped the prize in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw on May 1.
He took home one of 10 guaranteed prizes in the special UK Millionaire Maker event.
The winner has not been named.
He said: “I fancied my chances on the UK Millionaire Maker event, so I bought a ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it when I realised that I had actually won.
“This means that my life can totally change and I can look forward to an amazing future in my own home.”

National Lottery projects receive around £33million in funding each week from ticket sales.
To date, more than £53billion has been raised for good causes since the Lottery began.
The win comes after it was revealed that more than 1.5 million National Lottery players are sitting on unclaimed winnings without realising it.

GETTYAllwyn, the operator of the National Lottery, found that 1,542,081 players across the UK won a prize over the past year but have left the money untouched in their online accounts.
The prizes range up to £500, the maximum amount that can be paid directly into an online account.
More than 195,000 players have wins of over £10 sitting unused, while the average untouched prize stands at £3.90.
In total, the unclaimed sums add up to more than 1.9 million individual wins.
