Author and blogger Courtney Adamo has expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Meghan Markle following their joint appearance at a California bookshop on Thursday.

The interior design expert posted photographs from the occasion on Instagram, describing the experience as a thrilling professional milestone.

In her social media tribute, Ms Adamo acknowledged Meghan’s presence and encouragement at the launch of her family-focused design publication at Godmothers bookstore.

She revealed she had barely rested due to the thrill of the occasion.

The acknowledgement came despite a brief, uncomfortable exchange during their discussion, when the Duchess intervened to adjust Ms Adamo’s microphone positioning.

Meghan had grasped her companion’s arm to reposition the device, even offering to hold it herself, prompting Ms Adamo to admit feeling anxious, whilst the Duchess responded with laughter and a supportive embrace.

The two women’s connection spans over two decades, having initially encountered each other as 17-year-olds at Northwestern University in Chicago in 2001.

“We’ve been friends since college, just so you know,” the Duchess informed attendees at Thursday’s gathering in Summerland, near her Montecito residence.

The occasion centred on promoting Ms Adamo’s latest publication, “The Family Home: Inspiring Ideas For A Home Filled With Joy”.

Ms Adamo, who established the well-known British parenting website Babyccino Kids, had extended the invitation to her long-standing companion.

During their conversation, Meghan highlighted their contrasting backgrounds, noting that whilst Ms Adamo was raised on a tulip farm, she herself had spent her childhood in a modest two-unit dwelling in Los Angeles.

The Duchess acknowledged gaining valuable insights from their enduring friendship.

Meghan shared insights into her family life during the discussion, particularly regarding her younger child’s development.

She described four-year-old Lilibet as possessing an “incredible” and “very strong personality”.

Meghan disclosed her use of the “rose and thorn” parenting method, which encourages children to share both positive experiences and challenges from their day.

She explained this approach proves especially useful when children typically provide brief responses.

“Our daughter, she’s four and she’s a very strong personality and she’s incredible,” Meghan stated.

“And now she’s in this moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and your thorn?’ And she goes, ‘My day was just a blast.'”

The Duchess additionally revealed her technique for creating a welcoming atmosphere when entertaining, suggesting hosts greet visitors whilst barefoot and wearing an apron to help guests feel at ease.

Coinciding with her bookshop appearance, the Duchess unveiled a cryptic announcement on social media requesting followers to mark October 28, 2025, in their calendars.

The Instagram post featured footage of Meghan in a black frock and white cardigan wandering through woodland scenery.

The clip, accompanied by piano melodies, displayed the text “Save The Date 10.28.2025… As Ever” before transitioning to reveal the As Ever emblem depicting a palm tree with two birds. The same content appeared in her Instagram stories.

Speculation suggests the date could signal the introduction of a new product or initiative from the Duchess, though specific details remain undisclosed.

The timing of this teaser alongside her literary event appearance has generated considerable interest amongst followers awaiting further information about the As Ever venture.
