Meghan Markle is under pressure as the Sussexes’ £80million Netflix deal is set to expire next year.
The streaming giants are reportedly unimpressed by the Californian-based royal’s latest five-part docu-series project, Polo, which received criticism from fans.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a lucrative five-year deal with the streaming platform in 2020 after stepping down as senior working royals.
Meghan Markle has been rumoured to be working on a solo project with the platform that celebrates “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.

However, the show, set to be released alongside American Rivera Orchard, has yet to have an official release date.
A Netflix insider told the Daily Mail that Meghan’s rumoured work might never be released to the public.
Following Polo’s poor reception, the insider said: “There won’t be another deal.
“There may be one-offs, but that’s it.”
Other sources suggest it could be released to boost Meghan’s lifestyle brand.
They said it will be “make or break” for the couple who planned to become prominent figures in the TV scene.
The pair experienced great success when they launched their record-breaking debut series, Harry & Meghan.
However, the Duke and Duchess have not achieved the same reaction with their latest docu-series Polo, released last week, which focuses on the “fierce rivalries” and the “intense training” that those in the US Open Polo Championship undergo.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Rivera Orchard, has faced numerous setbacks since the mother of two debuted the brand on Instagram and a new website in March.
She sent out jars of jam to influencers who promoted the product on social media.
The Mail’s source said: “A-listers are now actively keeping away from them and events they are apparently going to attend.”
“One told me it’s not a good look to be around them.”
It is unknown what stage of production Meghan’s show is in, despite reports that the project had started filming when the duchess was seen at a grocery store doing a photo shoot in a Beverly Hills Park in June.
