Meghan Markle grappled with split allegiances during a baseball fixture between the Toronto Blue Jays and the LA Dodgers with Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex was seen with Harry wearing Dodgers hats, sitting in the front row of the World Series fixture, but Meghan has been seen in the past sporting the Blue Jays’ colours.

Meghan was born in Los Angeles but has openly discussed her love of Toronto in several interviews.

She told Best Health magazine in 2015: “[Toronto] is like my home. At the onset, I didn’t know what to expect, but everyone has been so welcoming.

“The people are so kind, I love the food scene, and I really love exploring little nooks around the city with my two dogs.”

The duchess continued: “I love how much green space there is tucked away.

“You wouldn’t expect that, and it reminds me of LA in a lot of ways.”

Meghan was living in Toronto, filming Suits, when she first started seeing Prince Harry.

The couple’s first dates took place in London in 2016, with the duo keeping a long-distance relationship, travelling between Canada and the UK to visit each other.

Harry also has a deep connection to Canada, leaving fans suggesting he should be supporting the Blue Jays over the Dodgers.

He trained with the Canadian forces during his time in the military, with Canada still recognising his father, King Charles, as their head of state.

The pair sat in the front row of the World Series fixture, leaving fans furious as the duo relegated local legends Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax to the second row.

The pair sat in the front row of the World Series fixture, leaving fans furious as the duo relegated local legends Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax to the second row.

Mr Johnson is part-owner of the team, while Mr Koufax is a Hall of Fame pitcher and a four-time World Series winner.

One fan said: “Why the hell are they in front of Sandy?”, with a second calling for the pair to leave their seats, saying: “Magic Johnson is royalty.”

Other fans were pleased to see the couple attend the fixture, with one saying it gave the game “the royal seal of approval”.

Another added: “Dodgers uniting the world one hat at a time.”

It is unclear whether the duo paid for the seats or were invited as VIPs by the team.

Fox TV cameras regularly zoomed in on the duo, who were seen cheering on the way side.

Despite their support, the Dodgers fell to a 6-2 loss against the Blue Jays.
