A takeaway boss from Manchester who lost five members of his family in a Gaza bombing has said his cousin has also been killed, just as a ceasefire was announced.
Dalloul al-Neder had already lost his mother, brother, pregnant sister-in-law and two nieces in an air strike on their home in Jabalia.
He has now said he lost his 29-year-old cousin Nasar al-Jamal on Wednesday, just hours after a ceasefire deal was agreed.
Mr al-Neder told North West Tonight: “Nasar has been killed in cold blood.”
He added the married father “was so excited” to be able to return home and see his house.
Mr al-Neder also revealed his daughter Mila, now 18 months old, had been pulled from bombing rubble three times in Gaza as a baby.
He said: “The first time was in October [2023], when she was only four months old.
“The second time she was six months old, and the final time she was about nine months old.”
His daughter is now safely in Manchester with him but his family are eager for Sunday’s ceasefire.
Mr al-Neder said: “Honestly, we have been dying and waiting to hear these words that the ceasefire announcement take place immediately.
“Not to be delayed for another three days, because it will mean more people will be killed.”
