While concealer is a product most makeup users will have in their beauty bags, not everyone has mastered how to apply it effectively.
Makeup guru Vanessa Nicole Stern (who goes by @vanessanicolestern on TikTok) shared how professional makeup artists apply concealer for fantastic results.
Dotting some concealer on the back of her hand, Vanessa pressed an eyeshadow brush into the product before applying it to her face.
She explained that this method “doesn’t overload the skin, crease up or look cakey”, telling makeup users: “Try it and thank me.”

Vanessa revealed that she uses a concealer by Natasha Denora, but makeup enthusiasts can snap up countless varieties at most beauty retailers.
Makeup users were impressed with the expert’s top tip, and the video amassed thousands of likes and saves.
One fan commented: “Yeah, I did that and I won’t be going back.” Another stated: “Yes, I’ve been doing this recently and it works wonders.” A third called it an “incredible tip”.
A second makeup artist took to TikTok, claiming that the technique is “addictive”.
Katie Jane Hughes (who goes by @katiejanehughes on TikTok) said: “This is the best trick I could ever teach you.
“All you’re going to need is a full-coverage concealer and a concealer brush – also known as an eyeshadow brush.
“This is an additive trick – you won’t be able to stop doing it when you try it. And it will give your skin the most flawless finish, but all the while you won’t look like you’ve got any makeup on.”
Applying concealer to the back of your hand before transferring it to your face makes for a light and natural look.

For a more full-coverage look, you might want to apply the product directly to your face, ensuring to blend it properly afterwards.
When applied correctly, makeup can be transformative: accentuating a woman’s best features, minimising perceived flaws and sometimes even having an anti-ageing effect.
A makeup artist shared a lip liner hack for women over 50 that “creates definition and gives the impression of fullness”.
She told GB News: “As the lips tend to thin out with time, a lip liner that’s close to the colour of your lips helps define them and gives an impression of fullness without being overdone.”
