Millie Court has shared her painful encounter with a jellyfish during her festive trip to Australia with boyfriend Liam Reardon.
The Love Island star, 28, was stung after being hit by a large wave while swimming, despite warning signs on the beach cautioning swimmers to ‘beware of bluebottles.’
Posting on her Instagram stories, Millie revealed how the incident unfolded, writing: ‘I went into the sea and got taken out by a massive wave. When I came up, I found a blue jellyfish wrapped around my neck, in my hair, with tentacles all over my stomach. I’ve never screamed so loud.’
Millie admitted the incident was partly her fault for ignoring the warnings, adding: ‘It’s my own fault.’
She also shared images of a rash caused by the sting, showing her arm covered in red marks.
Lifeguards advised her to take a hot shower and provided ice to numb the pain, telling her the itchiness would subside within an hour.

Millie explained why she and others still ventured into the water: ‘And before you say “why on earth would you go in the sea then”, there’s so many people in there that were also unfazed and the lifeguards don’t tell you to not go in so we thought, ‘f*** it, it’ll be fine”.’
The TV star is currently spending Christmas and New Year in Sydney with Liam and her best friend Chloe Burrows, who also appeared on the dating reality show.
Despite the painful incident, Millie appeared to be in good spirits on her festive getaway as she set pulses racing when she showcased her incredible figure in a series of busty bikinis just days before.
Millie looked nothing short of sensational as she slipped into a duo of different two-piece bikinis for an Amazon ad reel on her Instagram page on Friday.
She firstly posed up a storm in a skimpy lilac set, which featured a bow on front of the bikini top and thong-style bottoms.
The blonde beauty added a white crotchet mini skirt as she larked around in front of the camera.
Millie wore her long tresses in voluminous bouncy curls and opted for a glamorous palette of makeup to elevate her natural beauty.
She accessorised with a dainty gold padlock necklace and an array of dazzling jewellery, including a £4,200 Van Cleef bracelet.

She also flaunted her slender frame in a dark coral bikini boasting frilled edges, with the addition of a matching mesh sarong.
It comes after the bombshell admitted she is waiting for Liam to propose and she is ready to take their relationship to the next level.

And in June Millie openly ‘hinted’ she is ready for Liam to pop the question and has already ‘showed’ him the style of engagement ring she would like.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she said: ‘He’s the one in control of proposing and I’ve gave a little hint and showed him a ring that I would like.
‘Not that it means he’ll do it any time soon but I thought better he knows now so when he does decide to, in the future, he knows what ring I like.
Earlier in the week, Millie set pulses racing as she showcased her incredible figure in a series of busty bikinis

‘He also knows what I would like proposal-wise as well, so where it would be and stuff’.
Millie went onto say that the couple have been much happier in their relationship since ‘doing long distance’.
She said: ‘It’s amazing, he lives in Wales now and I’m in Essex so we’re doing long distance but it’s actually working really well.
‘We managed to get that time together where I’ll come down to Wales for a week, he’ll come down to Essex, and it’s almost like it’s working because the time that we have apart we can crack on with work and solely focus on that.
‘Then when we’re together we really look after our relationship and actually spend quality time together.’
The reality star admitted the pair ‘struggled’ with balancing a relationship as well as fame after first coming off Love Island, but despite splitting for a short period of time they ‘always knew they wanted to be together’.
Speaking as the face of VO5’s Summer Festival Edit, Millie told MailOnline: ‘I just think that we’ve got used to life as it is now.

‘I think coming off the show as many couples, it is a struggle to sort of navigate this new life as well as navigating a relationship.
‘So having that time apart meant that we could really get to terms with this new lifestyle and everything sort of happening with that.
‘Then when we came back together it was like we’d got used to it and we were in a much more comfortable position with life and career and it meant that we could fully focus on our relationship
‘We always wanted to be together, we knew that, it was just timing that was hard and it’s much better this time around.’
