Love Island: All Stars contestant Scott Thomas has revealed what his well known brothers Adam and Ryan thought about him returning to the villa.
The reality star, 36, coupled up with Kady McDermott on the second series of the ITV2 dating programme in 2016 but they split a year later.
Now, he is returning to to the show for the All Stars edition and revealed that both Corrie actor Ryan and Waterloo Road star Adam are ‘convinced’ he will find love.
He told The Mirror: ‘My brothers are so supportive of me. Adam was the one who really talked me into doing it.
‘He said it makes so much sense, you need to go show the best version of you. We’re so proud of you now.
‘We were proud of you the first time but the new Scott deserves a chance to show off all the work I’ve done on myself.
Love Island: All Stars contestant Scott Thomas has revealed what his well known brothers Adam and Ryan thought about him returning to the villa
He has revealed that both Ryan – who played Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street – and Waterloo Road star Adam are both ‘convinced’ he will find love
‘And also they want to see me settle down and they want to see me with someone. They’re convinced I’m going to meet someone.’
Podcast host Scott is also in agreement with his brothers that this is a good time for him to have another stint on reality TV.
In recent years, he has gone sober and found that has been for the benefit of his overall health both ‘physically and mentally’.
He also insisted that while some may assume that men reach their peak in their 20s, it is in his 30s that he has started to feel as if he is in his ‘prime’.
His ex-girlfriend Kady returned to the Love Island villa in 2023, but he admitted that if she were to make another comeback, it would be a ‘shock to the system’.
The pair haven’t spoke to each other for several years now, and Scott admitted that it is ‘really weird’ that they have never crossed paths when they are in the same industry.
Scott continued: ‘Me and Kady haven’t seen each other in nine years going on that show, she’s grown up, I’m a completely different person.
‘ I don’t know. I’m going to give everybody a chance.

‘I honestly do not know what I would do if I saw Kady, that is a fact! We have not crossed paths in five years, maybe longer… It didn’t end in the best way possible’ [pictured in 2016]
When asked how his dating history has been, the TV star admitted that it’s not gone well as he has found going on booze-free dates difficult
‘I don’t know if she’s going in or not, if I was to see someone in there I would probably be the most worried about seeing her in there – it’s a bit of a mad experience seeing your ex. But at the same time, I’d be open to just having a chat.’
Giving a glimpse into his recent romance, Scott told how he was seeing someone on and off for 18 months, but that relationship ended six months ago.
However, he’s now raring to get in the villa and crack on with romance, despite the thought of that terrifying him.
On whether he’s ready to settle down in a new relationship, he said: ‘100% I’m ready. Yeah, like 100%. I think the most ready I’ve ever been which is scary for me because I never would have admitted that a few years ago.’
Love Island: All Stars returns Monday 13th January at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
