And Lisa Wilkinson struck a retro note on the red carpet in a quirky outfit that caught the groovy mood of the smashing new production.
The media veteran rocked a pair of blue denim flares, a silver ‘disco tie’ and a black jacket she wore over a black T-shirt.
Wearing her auburn hair in a bob, Lisa topped off the outfit with a black sailors cap, silver drop earrings and a fluro orange handbag.
FBoy Island star Abbie Chatfield was also among the arrivals for the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic.
The outspoken media personality went retro casual for the event, sporting a black pleated skirt, which she matched with a chain belt, high boots and a tight blue stripped shirt.
Abbie let her signature long locks fall over her shoulders and accessorised with a set of delicate earrings and a necklace.

Former Miss World Australia Erin Holland also turned heads on the red carpet.
The famed beauty donned a figure hugging pair of retro black jeans with white trim that she paired with a black see-through lace top.
