Lady Louise Windsor’s boyfriend, fellow St Andrews student Felix da Silva-Clamp, was spotted supporting her at the carriage driving National Championships in Essex last weekend, where the royal finished in eighth place.

An onlooker claimed that Mr Silva-Clamp was “cheering and clapping from the sidelines” as Lady Louise competed.

They added that he “did a fist pump as she went through the water” and was “keen to see [Lady Louise] progress in the sport.”

Mr Silva-Clamp was also described to Hello! as “protective” over his partner, with the pair enjoying a “nice lunch” together before the event.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s daughter, 21, will soon return to her studies at St Andrews University in Fife.

She is entering the fourth year of her English degree and is expected to graduate next summer.

Lady Louise, a talented carriage driver who gave a rare TV interview about her late grandfather Prince Philip in 2021, has otherwise grown up largely out of the public eye.

She is not expected to take on royal duties after university and has reportedly shown interest in pursuing a career in the military, diplomacy, or law, according to her LinkedIn page.

While exam grades for some of her royal cousins were publicly shared by Buckingham Palace, Lady Louise’s results were kept private, though entry requirements for her course are AAA.

A fellow St Andrews student told The Telegraph in November 2024 that Lady Louise leads a busy life alongside her studies.

They said: “She works a student job during the week, in the canteen, and she takes part in a lot of student theatre productions – she was in the chorus for a play called Dragon Fever, she was really good.

“The theatre isn’t massive, so it shows quite a lot of dedication that she’s part of it.”

Like her father, Prince Edward, Lady Louise has a strong interest in the arts.

Her university friend also noted that “she was fond of reeling (Scottish dancing) and is a really good dancer.”

She has also joined St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps as a cadet.

Although she is known to occasionally borrow dresses and coats from her mother Sophie’s wardrobe, the student described Lady Louise as “grounded” and said she wears “understated clothes” on campus.
