Keith Urban said Taylor Swift was ‘amazing’ when she opened for him on tour as a teenager.
The country singer hit the road with Taylor back in 2009 when she was 19-years-old and the opening act for his Escape Together World Tour.
The husband of Nicole Kidman has admitted he knew she had something special long before she became a global superstar.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, he said: ‘It was a long time ago obviously… yeah it was great. She was amazing even back then.
‘I would sit up front and watch her sing and I’m like, “Oh, she was singing way off into this other thing.” You could see it. She was playing way past where she was already. It’s amazing.’
Keith also revealed how Taylor pranked him on the last night of the tour by coming out on stage dressed as KISS rocker Ace Frehley.
He said: ‘There was a prank she did. So I have a song called Kiss a Girl, and on the last night of the tour, she came out dressed as Ace Frehley from the band KISS. I thought it was KISS for a minute. It was so good.’

The pair ended up collaborating on a song together when Keith provided vocals for her track That’s When which was featured on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
He also sang harmonies on We Were Happy on the same album and the country star revealed he was thrilled to be invited to sing with her.
He added: ‘She had a song she wanted me to do, and she just texted me and said, ‘I have a song that I want you to sing on,’ and I said, “Can you send me the song?”
‘The next minute, she texted me the song. I was in a food court at a shopping mall at the time. I’m sitting there with my AirPods in listening to this unreleased Taylor song. It was crazy.’
Taylor just wrapped her record breaking Eras Tour after 149 shows in five continents just in time for her 35th birthday today.
The Bejeweled singer’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 35, has plans to make the pop star’s birthday extra special.
The tight end has been ‘shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now.’
According to the source, Kelce is ‘not the type to leave these things to the last minute’ and has been ‘picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.’

The three-time Super Bowl winner has reportedly been paying close attention to Swift’s wish list, keeping track of items she’s casually mentioned.
‘Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like,’ the source continued.
‘Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.’
The 35-year-old has previously lavished Swift with expensive gifts, reportedly spending around $22,000 on Valentine’s Day gifts for the Cruel Summer songstress alone.
His gifts included a slew of designer clothes and accessories, a $3,050 24-karat gold rose sculpture from the luxury furniture company Perigold, and two boxes of 250 roses ‘eternity’ roses, which are said to last up to a year and cost $2,199 each.
And it didn’t end there. It was also reported that he gifted her a $1,050 black lambskin Dior beret, a $1,100 Celine hat, a $5,100 Bottega Veneta purse, and a $1,300 Hermès Chevaux Dechaines shawl.
Last but not least, the athlete got himself and Taylor, whose net worth is estimated to be $1.1 billion, custom matching bracelets with the letters TNT – standing for Taylor ‘n’ Travis – written in diamond-encrusted gold beads.
Taylor now has free time on her hands with the end of her Eras Tour and is looking forward to spending the holidays with her boyfriend.

A source told People in an article published Tuesday that Swift is ‘exhausted, but obviously so, so grateful’ for the Eras Tour.
‘She had so many emotions about the last few shows in Vancouver,’ the insider said, adding that both Taylor and Kelce are ‘looking forward to the holidays.’
Last month, the couple spent Thanksgiving together amid a brief break in each of their busy schedules.
A source recently told Page Six, ‘Although he’ll be playing on Christmas and has an away game the weekend of Taylor’s birthday, Travis is going to make sure to take time out to celebrate both occasions with her.’
The NFL player has been ‘shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now.
Taylor plans to spend the holidays in her New York City pad with both of their families.
The end of her Eras Tour also marks the first time she won’t be so busy since she and Travis started dating.
Reportedly, the Anti-Hero hitmaker is looking forward to being able to do normal couple things together for the first time in their relationship.

The Eras Tour debuted in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023. After 149 dates in five continents, the tour wrapped in Vancouver, Canada on December 8.

As the 21-month tour came to an official end, Taylor also gave $197 million in bonuses to the crew – including truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, dancers, production assistants, makeup artists and choreographers, per People
After concluding the North American portion of the tour last year, she also gave out around $55 million in bonuses.
She also donated to food banks in each city that she stopped in during the lengthy tour.
