She continued: ‘It was when two of my friends overdosed and ended up in a coma in hospital. We thought we were going to lose them and genuinely it was the scariest thing ever because we were all taking the same drug GHB, it was terrible.
‘They are lucky to be alive and I was like what am I doing with my life.’
Kate revealed she is thankful she was offered a radio presenting job in Birmingham in 2007 which allowed her to escape London and the partying carousal.
She continued: ‘I am proud of myself for leaving London at 26 to go to Birmingham, my family were like, “no don’t go” which selfishly they just wanted me to be around, but they didn’t know the extent to what was going on.’
The reality star added that she is so ‘glad’ social media didn’t exist during her partying days as she admitted she ‘would have been cancelled a thousand times’.
Kate said: ‘I am so glad social media wasn’t a thing because I would have been cancelled a thousand times, I did so much s***.
‘I’m thankful there is no evidence of it.’
Elsewhere during the chat, Kate admitted she has slept with ‘over 50’ people as she discussed how she ‘loved being single’ and ‘having casual sex’ in her twenties.

She said: ‘I’ve been in love a few times but I loved being single and just having casual sex with people. I probably did ghost a few guys at the time.
‘I don’t know how many people I’ve slept with though but I know its over 50 but my twin sister has only slept with like seven.’
Kate is now happily married to podcast company owner husband Martin Bojtos, who she tied the knot with in June 2022.
The couple welcomed their daughter Noa the year before.
In the months before they married in 2022 Kate revealed how they were in the ‘worst possible place for a couple’ as she detailed their relationship ahead of the wedding.
She admitted that she ‘wasn’t prepared for the seismic shift’ in their relationship following the birth of their daughter Noa.
In 2021 she had her first child Noa after insisting for a long time she never wanted to be a mum, while her partner of nine years Martin, known affectionately as Boj, was ‘desperate’ for kids.
Speaking to Kate Thornton on her White Wine Question Time podcast, Kate explained: ‘Since we became parents our relationship has changed so much. I want to say for the better, but sadly we both know, and we’re acutely aware of this, that we haven’t prioritized our relationship at all and we know that we need to take steps to improve it.

‘We’re getting married in two months and we’ve actually had like the hardest year as a couple so far.
‘But we know it’s because we became parents and your life changes monumentally when you become parents.’
She continued: ‘I wasn’t prepared for the seismic shift in our relationship. I thought it would change my life, me personally, but I didn’t think about how much it would affect us as a couple even though I had friends giving me advice saying “Look you’re both going to say things you don’t mean, you’re both going to be more tired than you’ve ever been before”.
‘We went out for a curry the other night because I pointed out that since Noa was born a year ago we’ve only been out on our own on a date twice. It’s not good enough.’
