Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a hair-raising mishap whilst trying to help his wife Brittany remove rubber bands from her hairstyle after a recent holiday party.
The NFL star, 29, accidentally ripped out strands of his wife’s blonde hair during the incident, which Brittany later shared on social media.
The couple’s light-hearted domestic moment occurred on Saturday evening, with Brittany, also 29, taking to Instagram Stories to document the aftermath of her husband’s well-intentioned but clumsy assistance.
Sharing evidence of the hair mishap, Brittany posted a photo showing several clear rubber bands with blonde strands still attached.

“Does anyone else’s husband go to take their hair out and thinks he can just pull these right out of your hair?” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
She added: “Cause, yeah, mine did that last night.”

The couple were photographed sharing affectionate moments at the Christmas bash, with Brittany captioning their photos “Very merry.”
The party was a festive affair attended by other Chiefs stars, including Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce, though it remains unclear if Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift was present.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, who tied the knot in March 2020, have been together since their teenage years, having dated for a decade before marriage.

The couple are parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2.
In July, they announced they were expecting their third child, later revealing it would be a girl.
Despite the hair-styling mishap, Patrick has shown improvement in other hair-related duties.
Earlier this month, Brittany praised his hair-braiding skills with their daughter Sterling, sharing a photo of the NFL star “crushing his braiding skills.”
