Riza’s much-changed side maintained their upturn by upsetting promotion-chasing Blades at Bramall Lane, with Cian Ashford’s goal setting up a fourth-round tie at Stoke City.
While there will be another 19 league fixtures to come after this week, Ralls says positive results against Watford, who are ninth, and 12th-placed Swansea could have a big impact on Cardiff’s season.
“The rearranged game [against Watford] got put in for the Tuesday, that’s a massive game for us,” he said.
“It’s our game in hand so we are focused on that one first. Then we have the south Wales derby, which is obviously a huge game for us, our fans and everyone associated with our club.
“We have loads of games coming up where we can pick up points. As long as we keep performing as we have in the last couple of weeks, we will pick up points and we’ll start moving up to the table.”
Ralls’ appearance at Sheffield United was his 400th for Cardiff, the club he has played for throughout his senior career aside from a loan spell at Yeovil Town more than a decade ago.
