In November, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays added Palermo in Sicily to its arsenal of destinations in Italy, as it marked Jet2’s 10th Italian airport destination, with services beginning in summer 2026.
Manchester will offer twice-weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays, while Birmingham will offer weekly Wednesday services and Newcastle International weekly Tuesday services respectively.
The recent announcement also follows news from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays on its Summer Sun programme from Leeds Bradford Airport for 2025.
The expansion will see the UK’s largest tour operator increase capacity across routes to Spain, Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria, and Italy.
