Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has launched an impassioned rant against Australia’s obsession with stringent rules.
Her tirade kicked off when she and her co-host Kyle Sandilands discussed far-right political commentator Candace Owens being banned from Australia on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.
Owens’ visa cancellation has stopped her from doing five planned live speaking events next month.
She has previously drawn outrage for her controversial comments on Israel, the Holocaust and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Discussing the ban, Jackie took aim more generally at Australia’s apparent need to introduce a whole host of strict rules in society, saying it has gotten ‘out of control’.
‘I’ve been thinking about this, it’s been on my mind a lot recently. I think the government are implementing so many rules on our lives now,’ Jackie shared.

‘So many rules are getting passed and we don’t have a say in our lives and our decisions.
‘The more this goes on, we are becoming a joke of a country when we get told every step of the way what we can and can’t do.
‘I just think it’s getting to a point where it’s getting a bit out of control!’
Kyle, 53, then chimed in and admitted he has thought the exact same for years, and accused Jackie of not listening to him when he last brought it up.
He said: ‘I’m pretty sure I brought this up about 20 years ago and you poo pooed me, when they stopped everyone smoking on the beach and I said how ridiculous that is because the beach is nature’s biggest ash tray.’
But Jackie was less than convinced about his viewpoint as she added: ‘OK, you’re not helping my argument here, that’s not the argument I’ve made.’
Jackie went on to discuss ‘cancel’ culture and urged people to just not engage with famous personalities who they might not agree with, rather than their shows being cancelled.
‘If you don’t like somebody, don’t go and see them,’ she argued.

‘Don’t listen to the show, don’t watch the TV show, if you think Chris Lilley is too politically incorrect with his humour then don’t watch it, but stop trying to get people banned, stop trying to place a rule on every little decision we make in life.’
Jackie’s rant against Australia’s rules come after Owens called Immigration Minister Tony Burke’s decision to ban her from the country ‘a petty act of vandalism’.
‘What you are seeing really take shape is that people don’t want me to get in front of an audience,’ Owens said on her podcast.
‘We all know what has happened in Australia, which is the story of this year: I am not comfortable with the death taking place in Palestine.
‘The determined punishment for me for not turning a blind eye to this has been harassment.
‘I’ve accepted that. That’s a way easier punishment than what these children are accepting on a daily basis.’
The Candace Owens Live tour had been set to begin in Melbourne on November 17, with tickets selling at $95 for reserved seating and up to $1,500 for a pre-show VIP dinner with Owens herself.

Owens’ tour promoter described the decision to ban her from Australia as ‘dumb’ and branded it ‘censorship’.
Owens became a notable figure on the American far-right as one of few African-American commentators to controversially oppose the Black Lives Matter movement.
Despite earning a deal with the Daily Wire conservative platform, co-founder Ben Shapiro then dismissed her over her criticism of Israel’s actions in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and America’s support for those actions.
