Police have found a body in the search for Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Martyn Crofts, who was reported missing on Monday.
The discovery was made during searches at Whinny Gill reservoir in Skipton, North Yorkshire, on Tuesday.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed the news in a statement, saying officers had recovered a body whilst searching for the 55-year-old Skipton man.
Whilst formal identification has not yet been completed, Mr Crofts’ family has been informed and are being supported by officers.
The force said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery, and a file will be prepared for the coroner, MailOnline reports.
Crofts was known for his memorable appearance on Series 6 of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, where he reached the semi-finals.

His unique act involved placing a pan on his head and performing as a Dalek from Doctor Who, earning him the affectionate nickname “The Pan Man”.
During his semi-final performance, he delivered an original rap which included the line “I am a Dalek from Skipton” to millions of television viewers.
A friend posted on Facebook, remembering their time working as entertainers together: “RIP… He loved Skipton And he did a great Dalek impression. You may know him as ‘The Pan Man’ from Britain’s Got Talent, but Martyn Crofts was our friend.”
The friend added: “He will be a miss. Rest in peace my friend.”

Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the popular entertainer, with many remembering his vibrant personality and impact on the community.
Alicia Rose Beck wrote on Facebook: “Martyn Crofts where do I begin, you were a light in everyone’s life! You were the soul and party in Fleece!!”
She continued: “If someone were to ask me how I would describe you, the phrase ‘You light up the room with your smile. And illuminate the world with your heart’ comes to mind.”
Another tribute came from Liam Farrow, who remembered Crofts’ dedication to spreading joy: “He put smiles on our faces while the world was at uncertainty. It was his life ambition to create smiles and happiness around him and within the community.”
“He wanted to sing and spread joy as often as he possibly could. He always had time to talk, he never had a bad bone in his body,” Farrow added.
North Yorkshire Police have thanked the public for their assistance during the search operation.
“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and provided information to assist our enquiries,” a spokesperson said.

Another social media user wrote: “Rest in peace Martyn Crofts. devastated is the word. My thoughts are with his friends and family.”
